Cámara Orihuela will cooperate with the other Chambers of the Comunitat and the AVI in actions to promote innovation among companies

Cámara Orihuela was present at the meeting convened by the management team of the Valencian Agència de la Innovació (AVI), which was also attended by representatives of the Council of Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Community and the five chamber authorities to promote joint actions promote innovation among companies in this territory.

The Chambers have expressed their interest in becoming part of the network of innovation agents that AVI is promoting in order to connect the three major links of the Valencian innovation system: research centers, technological institutes and companies. In fact, they are considering submitting applications for this line in the next call for assistance in competitive competition, which will open between the months of December and next January.

The incorporation of this figure does not suppose any additional investment for the cameral entities, since both the initial training and the salaries of the personnel assigned to this purpose (in the event that it involves an increase in its structure) will be paid by the corresponding program of support of the AVI. However, the agents will be part of the staff of the Chambers, which will welcome them and put the necessary means to facilitate their work.

The role of innovation agents is developed in two directions. On the one hand, they inform the companies that require it of the opportunities generated by their respective businesses for the research lines that are already underway. On the other hand, they transfer to scientists the real needs of the business sector to design technological solutions and innovations capable of responding to their challenges.

Innovation impulse actions

In addition to this line of action, the representatives of the Chambers of the Community have analyzed the program of the AVI that supports complementary actions to boost innovation. A line that aims to enhance the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge to the productive fabric.

Both the Agency and the representatives of the cameral organizations have coincided, in fact, in the need to look for incentives to increase the diffusion of the innovations and technological solutions that are developed in the Comunitat between the companies and sectors.

At the meeting held this Friday at the request of the Chamber of Alicante, the general secretaries of the five Chambers participated, as well as the managing directors of Valencia, Alicante, Orihuela and the Autonomous Council. The executive vice president, Andrés García Reche; the general secretary, Olivia Estrella; and the deputy director of Programs, Roberto Arnau, have represented the AVI in this meeting.
