The electoral process of the chambers of commerce of the Valencian Community continues after the deadline for submission of candidatures. In the case of Cámara Orihuela, two candidates have been presented by each of the established business groups (industry, commerce, exporters, hotels, construction and services), which prevents voting, since as established by the regulations, candidates will automatically become members of the House Plenary. The president of the institution cameral, Mario Martinez, has indicated that they are also appointed the two representatives who independently appointed the Confederation of Valencian Companies (CEV) and that mid-month will be announced the four business groups that will enter to form part of the institution, thus forming the 18 members with which the plenary will count. Martinez stressed that it has received the necessary endorsement of 120 companies for the electoral process (ten for candidacy), although in total there have been 300 support companies throughout the territory of Oriola, city, coast and districts “whose endorsement is essential and that we are grateful to guarantee the viability and future of Camera Orihuela, since of not being for them we would have been doomed, for the second time in fifteen months, in a situation of disappearance that we do not want “.
The president of Chamber Orihuela has highlighted the fact that the Valencian Community was “the first to start the electoral process, serving as an example for the rest of Spain and even advising other autonomous communities”, so he wanted to thank the effort carried out both the Council of Chambers and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce “and especially its top managers, José Vicente Morata on behalf of the Chamber Council, the councilor Rafael Climent, the regional secretary, Blanca Marín and the general director of Commerce and Consumo, Natxo Costa “, as well as the work team of Cámara Orihuela and the current members of the Plenary and the Executive Committee. “We are going to continue working, betting on the companies in our territory by virtue of the agreements and agreements that we have in force and that are only seeking to make our region stand out economically as it has always done with respect to the rest of the Community , as the entrepreneurial territory that we have always been and that we are “.
Deadlines
From now on, the legal deadlines to complete the electoral process are still running. Thus, between March 16 and April 5 will take possession of the new House Chamber Orihuela, and from that date until June 1 will set the date of the constitutive session, which will also be chosen, among the chambers, to the president of the plenary for the next four years.
