The Christmas-themed showcase competition organized by the Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the City Council of Orihuela already has winners.
The president of the Chamber, Mario Martinez, and the councilman of Commerce, Miguel Ángel Fernández, accompanied by Ascensio Pérez, member of the institution cameral, have handed out the awards to deserving businesses. The first prize, which consisted of 500 euros and a commemorative plaque, has corresponded to Cuevas Amorós Jewelry, while the second, with an economic endowment of 300 euros and plaque, has been for the Marithe Hairdressing and Aesthetic center. The third classified, which has obtained 150 euros and plate, has been Óptica Espinosa.
In this edition of the contest have presented a fortnight of shops, whose themed decoration in the Christmas holidays has not only been valued based on the originality, color and lighting of the staging, but also taking into account aspects such as innovation or the exhibition of the products.
Mario Martinez has positively valued the participation of the Oriolan traders in this type of initiatives that “have as purpose the revitalization of our local trade spaces”, since “the decoration of streets and shop windows is a very important factor when animating to the citizens to go out and do their Christmas shopping in their municipality “.
For his part, the Councilor for Commerce expressed his satisfaction with this initiative of the Chamber, hoping that this campaign “is effective for the increase in sales of this time, something very important for the Oriolan economy.”
Actions to boost the Chamber of Commerce Orihuela
This contest of window dressing is framed within the activities of boosting trade that has recently carried out Chamber Orihuela in collaboration with the Department of Commerce of the Oriolan City Council. Among these, is the realization of a commercial calendar for 2019, “in which a score of Oriolan businesses have participated to reinforce the link of proximity between merchants and citizens, which will be published soon,” Martinez explained, as well as the day of digital training “Digitize your business in 4 clicks” that had the collaboration of the Pateco Office.
This last action that took place last Wednesday at the Orihuela Chamber Business Incubator was aimed at initiating the use of new digital technologies to entrepreneurs and merchants, with around thirty participants.
The day featured speakers from Israel Angulo, from the Pateco Office, about the opportunities of the digital world, and Pedro Redondo, from Bilnea, about digital marketing and social networks. Likewise, Toni Orellana, from Estiliasport, spoke about digital tools for online sales, and Belén Sanz and Manuel Moreno (founding partners of Pintar sin Parar) offered their personal testimony about the process of digitizing their business.
