Cámara Orihuela already has a new plenary session once the twelve candidatures presented by each of the established business groups (industry, commerce, exporters, hotels, construction and services) were proclaimed yesterday. This proclamation was officially made in the Electoral Board that protects the process of elections of the chambers, a body dependent on the Territorial Direction in Alicante of the Ministry of Commerce. The plenary of the entity will be composed, in the industry group, by Jonatan Samper Arronis (Tapizados Samper) and Prensa Vega Costa SL (Diario de la Vega); under construction Liplem SLU and Zaplana Caselles SLU; in trade SAT nª 9890 OLÉ and Conservas Hola; in hospitality Avenida Teodomiro 62 SL (El Tapeo de Agus) and Mimaybe Pony SL; in the group of repairs, transport and services Legal Spain SL and Golf Sun Europe SL; and in export Elsa Estudio SL and Amefruits SL. Oriolan companies will not need to vote, since they have submitted two candidates for each business group, the necessary to form a plenary session whose constitution will occur between April 5 and June 1, according to the established deadlines.
The plenary will be completed with two representatives who, independently, appoint the CEV (Confederation of Valencian Companies) and four business groups that will be presented on February 14 and that will make an economic contribution to be part of the institution.
The president of Chamber Orihuela, Mario Martinez, has highlighted “the support we have obtained from the companies in our field for this electoral process”, since despite needing only 120 guarantees have received support of up to 300 merchants from Orihuela city, Coast and districts, an endorsement highlighted by Martinez that “guarantees the continuity of Cámara Orihuela and that reinforces the work that all the human team that we have been doing for the last year and a half to get our Chamber forward”. At the same time, Martinez recalled that the Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Community were the first to launch this process “thanks to the efforts made by both the Chamber Council and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which has made we are serving as an example for other autonomous communities.
