The Business Incubator of the Chamber of Commerce of Orihuela has hosted today in its facilities the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Council of Chambers of the Valencian Community, directed by José Vicente Morata. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, and has had the assistance of the Minister of Economy, Rafael Climent. On the part of Camera Orihuela has been present all its executive exerting like host its first vice-president, Pedro Mancebo, before the absence by labor reasons of the president, Mario Martinez. Mancebo thanked the support received by the institution from both the Council of Chambers and the Council, “which have shown moving the meeting of the Executive Committee here,” he said.
Mancebo recalled that the Chamber of Commerce of Orihuela began a few months ago a new journey led by Mario Martinez whose first objective is to refloat the institution and make it a benchmark for companies in Orihuela and its nearby municipalities, a work that has already begun after the signing in May of the agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Alicante to be able to carry out performances in locations near the historical capital of Vega Baja.
During the meeting of the council several subjects were discussed, among which was the report of activities of the first semester of the year of the five chambers that constitute it (Castellón, Valencia, Alcoy, Alicante and Orihuela). José Vicente Morata stressed that the goal is that “any company in the Region can access the same information, aid and always in collaboration with the Ministry.” Morata has ensured that there are 434 actions in progress in the Region, in 30 counties and in 111 municipalities. “We are taking the activities of internationalization and others where you are the companies, so that everyone has the same opportunity”, Morata explained and added that Orihuela is “a main territory because of the number of exports it is having and from the cameras we always go to support”.
For its part, Ximo Puig has highlighted the growth of the Region and the generation of employment. “The work that cameras are doing is impressive, especially in SMEs, training and aid,” said the president and added that “we will continue to work as we have done with cameras and we must continue working together , we are the second most exporting Comunitat in the country and we have to continue along that line “.
The mayor of Orihuela, Emilio Bascuñana, has expressed his gratitude to all the representatives of the chambers and the president of the Generalitat and has assured that all aid is good and “what we need is to reactivate trade and recover the historic center and with the work and the professionalism of the cameras, we are sure we will achieve it “.
Pedro Mancebo has insisted on thanking the two institutions for the support “not only to the Chamber of Commerce of Orihuela, but also is an accolade to our entrepreneurs, merchants, self-employed and entrepreneurs”.
At the end of the meeting, all attendees have moved to the canning company Manuel Mateo Candel, where they have been able to learn about the evolution of this company that works with local products such as artichokes, tomatoes and other vegetables and veggies, although it also has a range of products based on exotic fruits, and that has several quality labels such as the International Food Standard and the Food BRC Certificated. They have also moved to one of the golf courses in the region, the La Finca in Algorfa, where they have also toured the facilities.
