The mayor of Orihuela, Emilio Bascuñana, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mario Martinez, have given an account of the agreement reached between the two institutions in order to solve the outstanding debt of the City Council with the institution cameral for several years and so , return to work together and in total harmony.
The mayor of Hacienda, Sabina-Goretti Galindo, has attended the sealing of this pact; by José Adolfo Medina, advisor to the Presidency of the Chamber; and by the councilman of Commerce, Miguel Angel Fernandez, who has advanced that “today is a happy day because the understanding between the two institutions has favored reaching this agreement that allows us to follow the path that favors our business and our municipality.” In addition, Fernandez has shown his satisfaction “for the responsibility that both the mayor and the president have shown for reaching the necessary understanding for Orihuela and for us to achieve all the goals that unite us and that we pursue.”
In this regard, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mario Martinez, said that “today we open a new stage and we hope it will be very fruitful, since it is important to achieve common objectives such as generating employment, improving our business fabric, supporting unemployed young people and to be able to help the City Council in everything that is necessary and in what we can help to improve “.
For his part Bascuñana said that “from the first day both the Councilor for Commerce and I have had the political will to find a solution and be able to pay the amount owed for the services rendered.” And it is finally “both the legal services of the Department and the City have found the satisfactory formula to get out of this situation.”
In this way, the mayor thanked the Chamber of Commerce and its president, “that have been up to standard and maintain their willingness to be at the service of Orihuela and have been able to unblock this situation that emerged in the previous term and that we have solved ”
Both the mayor of Orihuela and the president of the Chamber of Commerce stressed their willingness to “work together in harmony and that we are able to improve and offer the best for Orihuela”. In the coming days, the agreement reached will be formalized administratively, which will be approved by the Local Government Board.
