The provision of useful services to companies within its territorial scope is one of the main objectives of Cámara Orihuela, and in that line it has already begun to work so that, towards the beginning of the year, the institution will recover one of these services , as it is the work of training and evaluation so that the interested mercantiles can obtain the Integral Seal of Tourist Quality in Destiny (SICTED). The staff of Cámara Orihuela has already received the necessary preparation, in an intensive course held in Benidorm, to be able to work together with the companies, first training them in order to meet the parameters required by this seal of tourist quality, promoted by the Secretary of State of Tourism and endorsed by the Valencian Tourism Agency, and then making the corresponding evaluations that certify that these requirements are met effectively.
In this way, from now on it will work again with the Department of Tourism, which is the body to which companies must apply for membership in the Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destination, and from there will be communicated from the City Council from Orihuela to the Chamber of Commerce, the merchants with whom the trainers will have to work.
Just a few days ago, the first vice president of the Orihuela Chamber, Pedro Mancebo, was present at the Tourism Quality Table where the work bases for next year were set, among which is the close collaboration between the City Council of Orihuela through the Department of Tourism and Chamber Orihuela together with the associations of merchants attached to the SICTED. In this sense, Mancebo has highlighted the fact that the number of SICTED companies is maintained, which in fact increases every year and has bet “to involve all companies related to tourism in our municipality, since quality is very important for tourist destinations and we must all be clear that we have to provide a homogeneous service in all aspects, from the hospitality industry through transport or restoration. The first vice president of Cámara Orihuela has also recognized the work “both of the municipal officials who started this process in 2012 and of the current councilor for Tourism, Sofía Álvarez, who has decided to increase the number of certificates awarded in Orihuela. , something for which again, has Orihuela Chamber at its side in order to improve as much as possible the service we give to those who visit us, since the goal is to leave happy, to come back and above all, to recommend our tourist destination in their cities and countries of origin “.
Do not forget that Orihuela was at the time one of the pioneer municipalities in the implementation of this tourist brand, and that it already has about sixty companies linked to tourism that already have the SICTED logo.
