The Chambers of Commerce of the Valencian Community have enabled a portal of queries on Brexit so that companies can raise their doubts about the process of leaving the UK from the EU. The website address is brexit.camarascv.org, and can be accessed directly or through banners located in prominent places on the websites of the five chambers of commerce of the Valencian Community: camaravalencia.com, camaralicante.com, camaracastellon. com, camaraalcoy.net and camaraorihuela.es.
The portal includes links to the main sources of economic, legal and business information published by the different official sources and linked to the negotiations of the departure from the United Kingdom: Tax Agency (report on consequences in customs), European Council, Brexit portal of the European Commission, Spain Chamber, Spanish Embassy in London, Government of the United Kingdom, Economic Office of Spain in the United Kingdom (ICEX), European Parliament and Secretariat of State for Trade.
In addition, a consultation form allows companies to directly raise their queries, which will be addressed by the international teams of the Chambers of Commerce of the Region.
The initiative is part of the actions developed by the Chambers of the CV since the beginning of Brexit. Throughout 2018, bimonthly reports on the evolution of the process have been issued and information days for companies have been held since 2017 in addition to holding regular meetings with the British embassy (Ambassador Simon Manley visited the Valencia Chamber last year), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary of State for Commerce.
