Pleno Cámara un año
In Cámara Orihuela we are celebrating an anniversary. Today celebrates an exciting year of work the House Chamber Orihuela that took office on April 12, 2018 and deposited in me your confidence to preside. A year in which we want to see the lights beyond the shadows that have hovered over an institution that represents the Orihuela business and which tries to be very close to the more than 21,000 companies that make up the economic fabric of the Vega Baja. A region that has to grow hand in hand with common projects and demands.
Twelve months ago we began a period in which decisions were taken and positions adopted that allow us to look at Madrid and Valencia more closely and with more weight than has ever been Camera Orihuela of both cities. To Madrid thanks to the support provided by Cámara España from the first minute, and in the regional capital through the inestimable tutelage and unconditional support of the Ministry of Economy and the Council of Chambers. Our thanks and commitment to these institutions.

Of course, we look closely at Orihuela through the collaboration with the City Council and ACMO in various projects, in the training of young people who can be available to companies with the best preparation through the programs of Spain Chamber financed with European funds, because we also look at Europe, where this year we were represented in a conference held in the European Parliament where the future of the Union was discussed.
And of course, to the Vega Baja in the hands of ASEMVEGA, demanding together infrastructures, giving an opinion when we have been given the opportunity and claiming when something did not seem right. It happened in the Uneix Plan through which the development of the next decade will be channeled and to which, together with the Regional Table promoted by the Chamber and Asemvega, we present the needs of the Vega Baja together with Provía, Ineca, Jovempa, Privative Court de Aguas and Fecoreva, all members of that table.
Because Orihuela and La Vega Baja have the right to claim in all estates the financing that belongs to us for justice. We continue asking, in terms of infrastructure, the duplication of the CV-95 between Orihuela and Torrevieja, the ZAL or Puerto Seco in San Isidro, the variant of Torrevieja, which will eliminate the toll of the AP-7 as it passes through Orihuela Costa , the train of the coast, of all the coast, that arrives until Pilar of the Horadada. We need the third lane of the A7 between Orihuela and Murcia and bring our territory to Andalusia and Catalonia through the Mediterranean Corridor. We want assured water for agriculture and tourism, to which we do not make it easy to reach us, but it arrives. And of course, the protection of our unique irrigation system in Europe. Our municipalities have to pool public services, join and acquire strength with which to push to the point of creating a southern office in Valencia.

And now I talk about politics, because the demands of Cámara Orihuela are on the table all the political groups that have had in this legislature representation in Les Corts Valencianes. We have explained, one by one, what we want and what we need. That’s why I hope that next year we can continue to count more lights than shadows, and that the commitment begins to come true. Because the Vega Baja has demographic weight to have its own political representation in Valencia. To avoid having to endure impositions of any kind, giving the same opportunities to those who speak in Valencian and to those who express themselves in Spanish, because both official languages have always lived together and must continue to do so.
I finish with an affirmation: We grow above the average by the push of our people. And now, a question: What would happen if we had what, I repeat, for justice belongs to us?
